Biography

Stephanie Christianto, is an Indonesian pianist, composer, chamber musician, and music educator with a passion for nurturing music educator and raising mental health awareness among musicians. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) and has earned double Master of Music degrees in Piano Pedagogy and Performance, and Composition from Baylor University School of Music, USA, graduating with Distinction. Having over 10 years of performance experience, Stephanie has performed in some of the world's most prestigious venues, including Het Concertgebouw (The Royal Concertgebouw) in Amsterdam, Grote Zaal of TivoliVredenBurg in Utrecht, and Kalevan Navetta Concert Hall in Seinajoki, Finland.

Stephanie Christianto, NCTM, is a pianist, composer, and Nationally Certified Teacher of Music based in Waco, Texas. She recently completed a double Master of Music degree at Baylor University School of Music on full scholarship, specializing in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, and Composition. During her graduate studies, she served as a Graduate Teaching Associate. She is currently assisting courses in music theory and musicianship at both undergraduate and graduate levels at Baylor University, Texas, USA. Her previous experiences include, teaching undergraduate piano minors, class piano for beginning piano students, as well as working with Baylor’s Piano Laboratory Program.

Graduated with honours from HKU Utrechts Conservatorium, The Netherlands, she has experience in teaching piano to students of all ages in private and group class setting, as well as judging the Central Texas Music Teacher Association (CTMTA) Piano Competition, presenting as a guest speaker at the Waco Music Teacher Association (WMTA), Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) National Conference, and Texas Music Teacher Association (TMTA) Conference. Her approach to teaching emphasizes not only technical excellence, but also the development of emotional and mental well-being, recognizing the unique challenges that musicians face in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
